recently upgraded from a tascam us428 to a tascam fw1082.
the tascam is wonderful as a control surface and for playback, but when recording to pre-existing tracks, it overcompensates for latency and puts the newer track slightly ahead of where it ought to be. I have tried everything that I have been told and have read and reread help and the manuals, but so far I can't get anything to help. all I really need to do is find some sort of way to offset it, as the clocking is fine.
HELP ME PLEASE! I have a big session coming up on monday (a band that was once major-label) and I don't want to be dealing with this then.
