At time's Sonar will stop and say that the disk is full? I don't understand what disk it it talking about? I have a 40gig harddrive
and it's not full. So could someone explain what does the message mean??? Also it is when I am recording digtal in only.

Just a thought, I would check to make sure that the "data" directory where Cakewalk writes the audio files is pointing to your 40gig drive. By default, it points to your installation directory. If they are not on the same drive or partition this could be the problem.

Where do you find this information

How do find outwhere the directory information for the stored data for Sonar filrs other than in Sonar

I have also had this same problem..... it just happens from time to time.... I also have a 45 gigs.... and 20 for the opp sys. If anyone has an answer thanks for the help.

I'm not sure where to find the path outside of Sonar, but in Sonar you go to the Options menu, select Audio... and then a dialogue will appear with the audio options. Click on the "advanced" tab and you will see the path settings for audio & picture files. These should NOT be pointing to the same folder.

For example, I have Sonar installed on my drive D:, but keep my audio files on a 9 gig partition on drive F:, so my audio data is set to write to F:\Data

If this is set correctly and you are still getting errors... yeesh might want to make sure everything's ok with your hard drive (i.e. disk checked, defragged, etc.). Last resort call Cakewalk and have them help you trouble-shoot it.

I have my program files on my C: drive......its a 20gig.... and then I have all of Cakewalks folders on my D: drive...... I moved the Cakewalk Audio and Picture files to the D: drive.... but they are in separate folders.... and ahead of the Sonar files.... I wonder if that could be the problem.... maybe I should move them back to the C: drive.... I just thought that I'd put them on D: cause I had more room available...... I'll move em back to C: and play around with it and see if the error goes away..... thanks for the info.
