Sonar No Live Audio Feed Back

when i play into sonar the music is recorded but i can't hear (live)sound coming from my speakers, unless i activate input monitoring. I do get sounds through my headphones though!

I just got the m audio firewire, but i didn't have this problem w/ my old soundblaster. Note- other track recorded earlier are playing back through the same "out" as the "live" signal

help- i want to play along with my earlier tracks

It's not SONAR. Read the M-Audio documentation (on the mixer control panel applet).

Is your latency low enough to use Input Monitoring? Then why not just use it constanty? I am and I looove being able to hear the effects before and during recording.
