Hi,

In Sonar I have the ability so quickly switch between the various windows that I have open using the 'Views' toolbar.

This is great because I can switch between open windows quickly.

This being the case can anyone explain why there is no button on the 'Views' tool bar to bring up the main 'Track View' window?

It seems obvious that there sould be such a button?

So is there any way to add the missing button and if not what do you guys recommend as the quickest and easiest way to bring up
the main 'Track View' screen?

Any help much appreciated!!!

Cheers Guys.

1rst of all... Welcome to the forum, seaside.

...Now, your Q. Track view cannot be closed. You can minimize it in background, but can't be closed. If you close it, then you close the project, and SONAR will ask you whether to save the project or not. There for, there no need such a button to open the Track view. Whenever you open the project, it will be there. You can monitor what view you open in Window (next to help). Click on one you wanna bring to front...

Thanks for your reply!

That's fine - but is there a quick shortcut to minimize all the open windows so that the main screen is the only one visible?

When you have a lot of windows open it can be a pain to close them all just to see the main screen.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks m8 ;)

...Ctrl+F6 to switch over view,
...Alt, left arrow, down arrow, x

...Damn, I do that soooooo fast. :D
You too will, when you get used to it. ;) anyway, you don't have to close everyone of them... just leave them in background... IMHO.

You can also use "screen templates" (can't remember what it's called and I don't have Sonar in front of me) I think you'll find it under Views. Once you have created one or more "screen templates" use a combination of keys to access them (look under Options -> Key Bindings).

If you didn't understand this, wait a week, ask again and I'll try to answer better... ;)

Cheers mate
we will try this out - if you could advise of the method you
use it would be appreciated - just so we can check.

thanks
