When I try to attach SoundFonts, Sonar just locks up. I use Sonar 2.0. My computer sucks. It's a 550Mhz P3, 128mb of Ram, and less than a gig free of hard drive space. Is there anything I can do?

You have a small amount of memory for soundfonts. I presume you're using Win98. Do small soundfonts work? How big are the soundfonts you are trying to attach? As a starter try upgrading your RAM to at least 256M.

I am using Windows 98. I tried attaching a small SoundFont and it worked. The ones I want are bigger than 4mb. If I can't use big SoundFonts, can I cut big ones into small ones?

Sure, you can reduce the size of soundfonts with regular soundfonts editor like Vienna, but IMHO, by doing so, you degrade the quality of the sound also. About your problem, I believe it has something to do with alocated memory / memory management of your setup. You *can* use 128MB, but it will be highly suggested to use at least 256MB.
