I am using DELTA66/OMNI with SONAR. I am using a Roland JV1010 as my sound module. I can listen to the module on SONAR. But when I attemt to record it on SONAR to audio, I don't see the tracks light up. And the sound does not get recorded. I am still able to record my guitar, but not the sound module. I have the sound module connected to the "effects return" on the OMNI.

On SONAR I have tried selecting various parameters as the source but no luck. I have also played with the "patch bay" on the OMNI.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks :D

Yes, I did play around with the switch. Switching it on and off makes the track light up on SONAR(flicker), but nothing happens when I play or record SONAR. I can just hear the MIDI module.

You got me. If you hear it the sound is getting through. Perhaps the effects return is not routed into the soundcard? How are you listening to it?

Umm, where's my post?!?!?

I posted a reply to amt's question earlier today and now its gone!!!

BRZlian where is your posts? was that the solution I was waiting for?????? :D

Alchuck. I am hearing the sound module through SONAR. I just can't record to audio.
I am playing the MIDI tracks, and I opened and audio track and selected the inputs as source(I tried all sources) but I dont see the audio tracks light up signalling the presense of an active audio signal.

I can hear the sound module through SONAR. I can also hear and record guitar tracks whihc I play from my guitar. But just can't record the MIDI tracks to audio.
I don;t know how else to route the effects return to record.
THanks!

:D

Well, here was my thought - I am not too familiar with your hardware, but aren't EFX send/returns at the wrong end of the sound input chain?

What I mean by that is that on a regular mixer, you only hear the FX output through the main outs of a mixer. Since you are telling it to record an input from the Omni, it is recording the input before the FX return is applied therefore you wont record the JV but you still hear it through the main outputs. Is there some kind of PRE/POST swtich for the inputs as far as the FX returns go?

I fail to understand why you don't just connect the JV to one of the OMNI's regular non mic-preamp inputs.

OK OK thats what I thought!!!!

Hey Brzilian, thanks man. I cahnged the friggin inputs and it works like a charm. Thanks. :D

I thought I had eradicated the pops and clicks on playback. But it has arrived again. Once again I have to work on this. Such a pain in the neck.
