Sonar and Audiosport Quattro?

I am running Sonar XL 2.0 with M-Audio Audiosport Quattro. When I record vocals it sounds like I am singing through a megaphone. I downloaded the latest drivers from M-Audio, but alas my problem persists. Any thoughts on what the problem is and how to correct it?

Is the signal clipping? Then you need to turn down the volume...

No, its not loud as if I'm singing through a megaphone.... it sounds like someone EQ-ed the hell out of it. It's sort of muffled and bascially sounds like crap.
