Sonar 8 Prod. Ed. - Choppy recording???

I recently upgraded from LE to Sonar 8 producer edition and for the first day I was recording and using the program just fine, no problems. Then all of a sudden I began having troubles recording. When I record, instead of a smooth line going across the track display, it's all choppy, stopping for a couple milliseconds, starting up again, stopping, etc. Playback leaves this "helicopter" type sound, like short 1-2ms long lags in the recording.

Anyone know what's going on here or how to fix this?
 
Sounds like latency issues... Try adjusting your buffer settings.

Are you running ASIO or WDM drivers on your sound card?
