I want to know how to fade out to silence at the end of a song, beginning at a certain point, ending at the end point, help is appreciated!

Hey Rick - in the console view, select the fader for your master bus, right click and check "arm for automation". Then in the tranport window, click "record automation" and at the appropriate time, do your fade out and it will be recorded.
Alternately, if you're working with a stereo master track, hover your cursor over the upper right corner of the tail of the track until you see the fade icon and then click and drag the fade back to the desired start point.
Hope this helps you out!

place the mouse pointer on the track data that you want to put the fade on. Right click, select ENVELOPES>Create Track envelope>Volume. Then you click on the line that is drawn and it will place a node on the line that can be moved by dragging it up down or sideways with the mouse. The volume of the track will rise or fall corresponding to the level you draw. You select a point where you want the fade to start and place a node there, then go to the end of the song and place a node there. Drag the end node downward toward the bottom of the track. You will most likely need to play around with creating and moving nodes (volume level points) to get familiar.

you're welcome. Bisquits had the apropriate tech response for the "fade" option however. I just don`t use console view and draw envelopes per track as I mix the levels, this does invoke automation, and I commonly draw my fades as an envelope for the master track that I`m exporting. Just another method...
