Just found a bunch of stuff which clarifies some of the outstanding questions I had concerning the support of MPEX and other stuff in Sonar v4. I am now getting quite excited, I think this version will offer a lot of benefits.

- Has some demo files showing the technology which are pretty damn impressive

- Rip Rowan's review about S4 is pretty glowing and confirms that the MPEX stuff can be used on loop/non-looped audio to adjust pitch.

Ciao,

That sax sounds surprisingly decent by itself. I imagine placed in a mix it would be even better.

i wasn't planning on getting Sonar 4 at launch, but now I'm rethinking...

I hate the idea of shelling out for something like Melodyne or Antares Auto-tune, so this feature alone will save me from endless re-takes.

Hurrah.

Being a long time Cake user.... my order was in as soon as I got the e-mail :D ..... Can't wait for some of these upgrades. Really looking forward to track folders and freeze function.

Take Care!

that track folders thing in sonar4 sounds like magic. i sure hope it works.

and the track layers... that was a rediculously good idea.

definitely worth the money, but i'm still going to wait a few months and let them shake the crumbs out of the box.

In the meantime, we'll let ya know how they taste.

(But at the rate of play we are getting from the Australian distributor, you will still probably end up getting your copy first!)
