Hi,
I've been using Home Studio 2004 (not 2004 XL) recently with a friend on his computer.
We're both fairly new to DAW recording, though not to multitracking in general.
In reading about Sonar 3 and 4 I can see that as I acquire my own DAW (research is almost complete, thanks, in part to some people here), I will be using more and more of the kinds of features that Sonar 4 seems to include -plug-ins, nudging etc.. I'll also be using MIDI increasingly as I learn more about it.
I am wondering what people's suggestions would be about the relative merits of buying H.S. 2004 XL versus taking the full plunge and getting Sonar 4.
A second major question is how well do HS 2004XL and Sonar 3 work with third party VST and DX plug-ins?
Thanks,
Geert, in Toronto
