Sonar 4 / MOTU problem

hi there,
I recently installed sonar 4 studio, and a motu 828 mkII . All was fine and everything worked as far as recording audio. I downloaded the sonar patch....and it was installed fine. the problem that i have is, i can't select any of my inputs anymore. the 828 shows up there as the 7 in 7 out, but i can't select anything. i have run the wave profiler and it seemed to go fine, with no errors. i have uninstalled and re-installed both sonar and the mk II software. but still nothing. any suggestions? i honesly can't remember if the thing went bad right after the sonar upgrade or not?

Did you choose ASIO or WDM ?
If you chose ASIO and another cards drivers are highlighted, you have to deselect them (both in and out), otherwise you can't select MOTU.
Sonar can use only one card with ASIO drivers.
 
i'll have to check that out....i think i left it on the default....because it said it was better. thanks for the reply though. i'll post back with the results.
