Sonar 3 in UK

Yep just got it delivered from Etcetera today. Initial impressions are really positive. Everything seems smoother and more fluid. Also, it seems to sound a little better than 2.2. I was a bit dubious about the postings I read on here about this but there is a difference. Pathelon and Sonitus suites are great and the whole thing looks really posh!

Infact, the more I'm using it tonight the more I'm beginning to appreciate the little things like greater MIDI flexibility and simply seeing the Waveform appear in realtime when recording audio. After tinkering with Sonar for 3 hours I can honestly say that the improvement over 2.2 is significant. MIDI groove clipping is an inspired idea and a joy to use. The whole program just feels much more intuative. Great stuff and so far no bugs!!

Who have you ordered from, Bonkwell? I think a lot of people are under the impression that Edirol are sole UK distributors. Etcetera say they are working alongside them.
I'm having problems registering the Vsampler. For some reason the registration process on thier website just doesn't work. I emailed Cakewalk and they responded by giving me Speedsofts address. Not sure how this is gonna work but the Serial number on the inside of the Gatefold CD just isn't being accepted. I've downloaded an updated version of the VSampler from Speedsofts advice but still no joy. I suspect their will be many Cakewalkers stumbling into the same problem in the coming weeks. They'd better sort the bug(s) out!!

Yes I ordered with Edirol, I was told they were the only ones doing the free upgrade from Sonar 2 XL.
 
I've just been having a serious play with the Pathelon Reverb and the thing is great!! The soundscapes you can generate from this thing is superb. I sound like I'm kissing Cakewalks ass at the moment but I really can't express enough what a huge leap ahead of 2.2 this is. I always found Sonar 2 dependable, relaible and functional to use but now it has taken that big step forward that it needed. Has anyone else recieved Sonar 3 in the UK yet?? Any opinions?

It seems most are over the moon with it looking at the response on other Forums.

I think Cakewalk have done really well and its such good value with all the extras.
 
Just received S3 today from Edirol UK. I think it was the American Cakewalk site saying Edirol would be the sole European distributor. I contacted Etcetera (who sold me S2) and they didn't even know at the time if the could get S3, so I ordered from Edirol. Can't quite figure it out whether Etcetera is a little cheaper. Too late by now, anyway.

Have only had a short time to play with S3. Haven't even installed vSampler yet. But so far it looks good. Looks more professional without all the colours on the buttons. On the other hand it probably takes some time to adjust when you have become used to looking for a button with something yellow on it and so on ... Now they are alle bluish grey.
