I've been on a recent drum triggering trip after hearing some modern rock/punk records and their friggin drum tones. I want to venture into that world as well, I've mainly just been taking a midi snare drum and recording it as audio, then placing the midi snare on a seperate track and have it hit with a real snare, but that is a pain in the ass doing it 200 times a song!
I want to go the software route, and I was wondering if any of you know where to get started using triggers. I am aware of drumagog, but does sampletank or kontakt do triggering as well?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
