Sonar 3.0 Multi-Band Comp.

I like the Multi-Band Compression in Sonar 3.0, but when i use it backgroud noise ( hiss ) is introduced to the recording. Any suggestions on how to get rid of this? ( i'm using the " boost 6db all bands" preset )

I'm guessing it's your noise floor that you are hearing. When you boost the volume, you are also going to boost the floor.

Are you recording at 24 bits, that could help. Otherwise, you need to look at the components in your signal chain (pre-amp for ex.)

And record with the hottest signal possible (without clipping, that is).
