Sonar 2.2...MIDI Auto Punch problem....

Working with MIDI when I auto punch for example set for 51.01:000 , it punches in at 51.03:030...... It does'nt always do it at times it'll punch in correctly...but I keep loosing a good performance...

Never had a problem with Audio. What's going on?

You are hitting the notes before the punch starts? You might still be able to hear the sound.. MIDI records the down press of a note, it's duration and velocity etc.. so if you hit the note before the punch in it won't record it.

Couple of options... record onto a new track then move the new track onto the old track and bounce.

or..

Just set the punch time earlier.
