Hey folks,
I am running Windows Me and using a Santa Cruz audio card (Dell OEM). I THINK I have Direct X 9.0 installed. I did not know it was in beta when I installed it. The M$ site said it was finished. Anyway, I was wondering if I could use Sonar 2.0 with this setup without conflicts. One more thing: I am new here and I want to thank all of you posters for your assistance so far. Thanks to you folks I have a reasonable and affordable recording solution that suits my needs and that I have confidence in. Good job.

Thanks again,
Michael

You should be able to run Sonar on that system (as far as I know). But if you have troubble installing it, here's the website with the sollution: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/dx9.asp

Your soundcard is perhaps not the best in the world... ;)

I'm not a fan of WinME either, but you decide what works for you. :)

Yeah, I know the Santa Cruz is weak but it works for what I am doing right now which is just songwriting really. Talk about not being a fan of ME, try getting stuck with it! The worst part is that I have read it is difficult to upgrade to XP from Millenium.
Anyway, thanks Moskus.
