something new and different

ok folks, it's 12:30, just got home, drunk, fucked up, the usual. Tamara and Rick loved the tune. She sang with the song and had tears in her eyes. I was totally not expecting tears. We, my wife and I, got to their home about 9:00, and joined in the festive events, with Christmas and all, and I gave Rick and Tamara a couple of my newer cds, and told them about her lyrics that I put to music and they wanted to hear it right then. We went to my truck and smoked a fat one and listened to the tune, and like I said, I was not expecting the tears and shit like that. We got back in the house and damn if she didn't have to play the damn tune for everyone. It was a hit, like these folks could tell. A lot of boozing going on. Anyway, they both really liked the tune. It was worth every second I spent on it,(all of 2-3 hours). Tamara was very pleased, and it made me feel real good, to know it was making someone feel something. Good friends. We all have'em. And each and every one of them is needed to stay sane in this world.

Merry Christmas to all.

Edit. Tamara had a gift that someone gave her. It was the 12 Days of Christmas digits, in puter, representing the Christmas tune. Each digit had the words of the tune on the back. Cool. Tamara gave out the digits and split everyone up and started the tune. Everyone sang their parts all the way thru. There was about three people for each number. I wish I had been able to record that. It was truely a wonderful moment in time.

sounds like a great night...that story kicked ass. Go to bed, LOL...church is gonna' come early.

shit chris, I'm not the religous type. I'll be up at 7:00 getting the heater going in the basement, catching a cup of java, tuning the old Martin, and picking out a tune. The best time to see if anything happens. No one around, quiet, the rest of the family asleep. Man, it just don't get any better than that.

quiet, peaceful...able to think and shut the world out... Sounds like you have a pretty cool church after all. Be good...or, at least, be around. :D

hah-great thread! good story of playing the tune for her-I'm sure it must have been a thrill....I liked the tune-I might have done a few things different-some mentioned---that chorus effect--and some not--that small room reverb-It made your pick have a strange attack sound-Im just a sucka for a big verbs---anyway-my personal preferenced aside-I would say mission accomplished and good tune all around.
