Something Good...

I recorded this at a gig this spring, but first got around to mixing it a couple days ago.

It never ceases to amaze me how well a live performance recording can be cleaned up.



Of course, it helps to get a nearly flawless performance. But this, for the most part, does NOT sound like it's being played live... but it is.

I agree - this is very nice for live. It's one of my favorite tunes and you did a great job on it. My only nit would be the cymbal is a little hot....and that's just a minor preference. :)
 
One of my all time favorite songs. :D Lennon songs are tough to cover, since his voice is so unique.

The harmonies here are real good!! Even more so considering they were done live. You're right, this does not sound live. It has a studio sound to it - and I mean that in a good way.

Real good stuff. Not sure I can give any advice for improvement. Enjoyed it.
