Something a little different from me DON'T LAUGH!

I liked the song and the recording. In the beginning the voice is a little hesitant sometimes, it goes away when the arrangement gets filled. The fade out was a little long for my taste.
Nice work. Cheers, Andrés

Not much that I can add here that hasn't been mentioned already except that though the bass tone was good I thought it was a bit too up-front.

Did I detect some Beatle influence in there? ;)

Don't like your voice????

Dude, what's up! Your voice has a great quality to it and it totally works on this piece, and I like the harmony you have going on.

I like the bass-line but kind of agree with Brane that it may be a little bit too out front.

Strange because I couldn't make out if you were going for a country or pop feel to this. It kind of had a bit of both, and at the same time, I actually detected a bit of Dramarama in there (strange since none of there stuff really has this style, I think it was just your style of guitar playing especially during the fade). I like the rhythms you were using on the drums, but the actual sound of them didn't really fit the tune. Maybe there was too much verb on them  But this is just minor :)

Very nice overall, and don't fret about the vocals! :)

I love this tune. This to me is so 70's rock sounding (that's a good thing at my age) right down to the lead guitar tone, reverb & vocal sounds. This sounds like it would one of those cool tunes I would have found on some album that I bought for some other song. One of those I would have sung along with and thought was a good find on the album. Good stuff.

I don't have any mix comments. It all sounds good to me on the computer speakers. The only thing I could mention is that although I actually like your voice quite a lot on this song, there were some spots it got a little loose. If you could tighten it up a little bit it would be even better. Drum sounds sound OK to me, but then again, I am stuck using midi. I haven't even made it up to loops yet. Maybe when I get my new copy of Sonar up and running I can catch up to what you're doing :D

Nice job. This goes to the keepers folder. I love the little bit different vibe on this. Maaannnn...I'm tripping back to the 70's. :D

Pedullist - On the vocals, I think after I tighten up some of the loose ends that I may be ok with them. :D

cordura21 - Yes the vocals are kinda weak in several spots and I will have to redo them. Thanks for the listen and comments!

M.Brane - Thanks for the comments! Alot of Beatles influence in my stuff! I do hear the bass as too up front, do you have any suggestions? Will just backing off the bass a bit work?

boydrj - The drums to me sound no better than a drum machine which I try like hell to avoid.. Any suggestions on the bass? Country or Pop? I don't know what I was going for it just kinda happened I have influences in both types of music so it could have come frome anywhere!

Jagular - Glad you liked it! See, I go with loops because MIDI is out of my realm of comprehention. :D

Thanks everyone for listening!

Scott,
Great to hear your stuff. I regularly listen to "My Imagination". Love it. It's on my personal "Home Recording Complication CD".

Glad you liked it! I almost sent that in as my Comp Submission but I went with a different on at the last minute.

that's a good song and a pretty good mix....the only thing I noticed that the kick was maybe a bit "muddier" than I'd have it. Yes, you could afford to mix it a bit fatter, coz your bass sound is not that "low" in this song, but i'd still give the kick a bit more "klick".....overall, I liked the job, great work

Sen - I am going to remix it and fatten up the acoustic. Thanks for the listen!

Great tune!

I noticed a couple of things, small as they are!

One is that the kick seems a little over-saturated, I noticed it especially in the double hat / kick combos (at approx. 1:05). the first two seems distorted.

Another is this tune lends itself to a tamborine big time! Might want to use that opposing a ride bell in the chorus. Also may want to use the tambo to a lesser extent in the verses with a hat pattern instead of the ride cym.

There you go! It is a fun tune. The more I listen, the more I like.
