This was an exercise in transitioning between falsetto and my regular voice. It is a rather difficult technique to master. The key in which the song was written sits between my two vocal ranges. Now that I have been practicing for a couple years, I wanted to record this song, a favorite of mine by David Gates, of the group, Bread. Back in the mid seventies, I used to love listening and singing along with their songs, wishing I could do it like that, and I still can't, but I strive to be better just the same.

This song was recorded using only the Gefell M300 matched pair, which are small condeser mics, which suited me best for this song. Both guitar and vocals were recorded in stereo, vocals using XY config and the guitar was ORTF, both between 8 and 12 inches from the source.

Here it is, and I hope you enjoy it, thanks for listening!

Very nice. I always liked this song and you do it justice. Really nothing to say, I can kick back and just listen.

OK, I will say ONE thing:

Some background synths might be cool like the original. Even better would be string samples. Even better would be string PLAYERS :D
