Nice, missing something though. strings maybe. Oh and an ocassional "miami" bass drop

aww naw hell naww Rat done up an done it.

That shit is nice personally I think all you need is some effects some light effects. I wouldnt go with strings(imagine me saying no strings). Some hot lyrics and a litte variations earlier in the song. I would throw a pad on it at the chorus nothing to light just to throw change in it and maybe add more guitar licks. set it in the oven and when it comes out drop some hot ass lyrics on it. they cant be luke warm they gots to be hot. and (((((BOOM))))) a hit ready too role.

Just my opinion though I could always be wrong.

Tru Hi D... Yo they still do Bass Music.. When I was going to school out there at FAMU that is all they played dog... Is that still the case?

Soundboy....

Luv the analgies.... I got someone who offered me some money for the track the way it is... But I can definetly see your vision bro....

Dope one Rat.

Drums and bass are most definitely tight. I can see why someone would wanna scoop this one as is.

Like everybody else said... I think other elements would've set it. But... Play it how it goes.

Keep up the good work. Peace.

Nice as is
a little 3 piece band atmosphere
i like how the drums and bass are not fighting for space
great mix
Perhaps some percussions could fill in

This is meant as a compliment this beat reminds me of Ted Riley cut

Respect

PS check you PM

i'm sitting at work (i've listened to it twice) so this isn't a critical listen, but i like what you are doing. i'll try to remember to listen to it again in the studio so i can critique the balance, panning, and EQ.

it's got a real nice sense of space... like Miles Davis said, it's not the notes but the space between them (paraphrase).

however, i was waiting for the hook, and i never got one. like soundboy mentioned. i was waiting for something to distinguish the verse from the chorus. you don't need much, just a pad or something... lite sprinkles nothing major.

from my own personal market research that is the difference between a gold record and a platinum record.

Good look Les.... Apprieciate the comments...
Oh Check ya PM.....

Cross Studio
Interesting point about the difference between a gold and platinum track....

I can see a pad being applied to this track for real.....

Thanks for taking the time....

Tru.. we will keep it movin...

Thanks again...

Rat,
I'm feelin' it..hotness..........I would just add some scratches just before the second set of licks(?)......(imma lil tired)....like this.....
da da (scratch)da kinda like you scratched the last one in there like I said i'm tired did that make any sense??!!!!

that's just my own personal touch
drums are tight as hell and I think the bassline is nice and warm...they compliment eachother well without fightin' eachother
keep representin'

..............one............

seemed like at right around 00.45 (and 2:32)there was a slight error in the high pitched stuff (came in to early for the beat 1, and to late for the up beat). It's a nice try, and you almost pull it off, actually with some vocals on the track you would...

I've been on these forums for like 5 minutes, but this beat is better than most. I LIKE the fact that there are no strings, because anyone gets a synth and thinks that they are god on the pads.

love the (cheesy?) "slap bass".

Thanks for taking the time to post your opinions....
