Hi,

Singing has always been my biggest hobby, but I never dare to sing in front of others, because i think I'm not good enough...

I'd be very happy if you'd listen to this song https:// soundcloud.com/carole0583/if-you-needed-me and tell me what you think about it and how I could sing better...

Thank you!!

Carole

Hiya Carole.

I'll just go check out yours and leave a comment when i've finished. Could you check out my thread below your and leave a comment for me to please. :D

Was that an original song? It's such a lovely folk song and you sounded so pretty! Very nice girl :D

Sounds like you have a good set of pipes, certainly worth you getting a decent recording done as the one you have here is likely to take out the drivers in someone's monitors with the high distortion peaks. The vocal tone is pleasant and will likely deliver well when you get something done that's more controlled.

Hi Carole,

You have a very nice tone to your voice; it's very enjoyable.

I think the area in which you need the most improvement is in breath support. Keep in mind that I'm no expert, but I recognized this quickly in your voice because it's something that I've had to work on a lot with my own voice. You get pitchy a little bit here and there, and it mostly occurs at the end of phrases (though not always). I think this is most likely due to not enough support---i.e., not singing enough from your diaphragm.

I don't think you necessarily need vocal lessons (unless you wanted to go that route), but I would recommend getting a book maybe or looking online at some vocal exercises you can do to help strengthen that. Because you definitely have the raw materials with which to work, for sure.

Good luck! :)

Thank you famous beagle!! I'll certainly do something with your tip!!
