Just my opinion after using FL for 16 yrs. If you want great mixdowns... you need great scoring. This may seem obvious to pros but less obvious to noobs or amateurs.
Production basically goes like this: sampling > scoring > mixing > mastering. Really simple! Right?
Well not quite. Noobs can pick sounds or samples. They can even mix them in basic ways. But when it comes to scoring they seem rather lost. Cause they haven't spent time building / saving a scorebank. Scoring is the art or performance. It's the heart that drives everything. Your mixing will sound better & overall production IF you get good at scoring. You wanna develop a real strategy behind how you create, save & organize scores.
