some simple songs if anyone wants to hear

Hey, I have a page on myspace and was messing around with a couple songs I've been working on. Keep in mind I recorded these with a very cheap mic for the computer and a cheap acoustic guitar. They are recorded live with no editing so the levels are not perfect and neither are the songs. I realize there's several errors and so on but any opinions would be appreciate. I'm not trying to claim I'm a great guitartist and/or singer or anything just a musician who likes to write music. Thanks.
 
I'll be honest...the songs sound like something Ryan Cabrera would sing, only slightly worse. Not that that's necessarily a BAD thing, hell he's famous...but the lyrics sound canned and seem like you're trying too hard to use metaphor and "big" words. Sometimes saying something simple is more effective then trying to sound "artsy".

About the recording themselves...can't really say a whole lot because they're not good...and you acknowledge this in your first post. You don't have a BAD voice, but work on staying on key; you're awfully flat in a number of places in both songs.
