some problem with the disk srive of my EPS16+

ok I have some sounds on my O.S. disk and usually it goes to the load inst page when the boot is finished. Now when I put an other disk to load a beat the screen is stuck to the sounds on my O.S. The only thing I can do is loading a sound from the O.S. and deleting it, then I can load my beat but it doesn't work every time. + the drive started making a slight buzz.

do you think the problem is only the floppy drive or it's more something within the eps itself?

Copy the OS onto another disk then DO NOT put any sound files on that disk. Especially with Ensoniq products I have always followed the 'OS only' rule.

I probably don't need to point this out, but with an aging unit the disk drive can't be expected to last forever...
 
I can't hear it from here, but I think that's the sound of the drive starting to die.

You can always take it into a repair facility and see what they say...
