some midi notes not playing help

Hey all.
ok . now this is what it happening.
My drum midi notes are playing and as i continue to write the track ( add more parts ) in drum editor , some of the already written notes stop playing.
Kind of seems as though there is a buffering or peocessing prob. p.c
any help would be cool 'cheers

What VST are you using, which audio interface do you have, do you have a midi controller (keyboard) or are you clicking to add each note ?. Sounds like that there is too much info being passed around for some part of your system to handle.
 
If you're editing any velocity make sure you didn't take it down to 0.
Quantizing? Maybe if you have some note accents from quantizing it's made them inaudible.

That'd be all I can think of at the moment. Running out of voices as the first person mentioned may also be the case. You've reached max polyphony and something has to give way.

I've also ran into a problem like this if the end of note extends past the start of the next note. Or I guess the easy way of saying that is if the notes overlap the second note wont play.
 
hey guys.
im using halione one and the notes have been manually typed in. no keyboard.
am using firestudio mobile interface.
I also have notes that never stop like ride cymbals etc....
driving me nuts..

What kind of computer are you using to run, have you got enough memory + cpu speed. Sounds like something is running slower that it should be.
 
hey gang. finally got to checking things out.
pc is 2 quad core 2.3 gig and 3.5 gig of ram.
checked task manager and is running real good.
nothing is running in the back and idle usage is 0
no viruses
when I play a project with all effects and midi drums ( halion one ) etc.
the computer is using less than 20 %. capacity
cant imagine its a computer issue.
And I found that when I am in drum editor and removed an instrument ( eg. floor tom)( just one of the hits ) and then put it back in, all the floor tom hits through out the track start start to play. weird
please help. nearly crazy.
