Some Live Stuff...

The first thing I though as I'm liostening is Britney Spears is a big star. There is no justice in this world.
When she sings the material it reminds me of Alison Krauss. Very very nice.

Kudos

Chris,

First off.....great stuff! It is awesome that you are doing this with your daughter and I am impressed with both of your abilities to put out a great "live" sound.

You are in "Nac", eh? I'm in Sugar Land, but I have an old buddy who plays in a band that is based in Nac and Lufkin. The band is El Kabong. You heard of them?

Again, your daughter has a great voice and I really like your music. You should be very proud. I have 4 kids and all of them are involved with music and other forms of the creative arts in general.

Peace, out.

Gary

Just listening to the tunes you did at Badger's... very cool.

Jaime is getting better all the time!

She did real good... I'm sure you're real proud of her. :)

Made me wish that you lived in Atlanta so I could have been there.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAA...nice one. :D - Thanks for listening man.

bartman - actually I'm not in nac, but I did go to S.F.A., so I definitely know the town, but I haven't been involved in that music scene in a decade. Good times, good times. Thanks a lot for the listens and the comments.

DOUG - long time no see man...thanks a ton for checking it out. Who knows...maybe Atlanta's on the tour next year, lol.

Hey, watched the video. She's really good! And it's great to see Dad and Daughter havin' a time together.

I, too, have a daughter. She's pledged to write lyrics and sing on one in the works. Can't wait.

Video? There was some video???

I better go back and check it out!

Chris... I am almost speechless... just watched the video...

You might as well put your stock in Jaime, cuz you're old news!

I really think she has a great voice and is obviously relaxed on stage... and the video was pretty cool, too.

If you do this again, send me a PM, as I just might come to Texas. :)

Just watched the video. Great stuff! That's just beautiful man. You must be one proud pop. It's great you get to share something like this together.

apl - thanks a lot for listening and for your post in the cave. I can't seem to keep up anymore, LOL. Be good mange...

doug - your posts piss me off, LOL. See, my brother works for a promotion company, and he asked recently to start helping out "Better Off Dad." One of the first things he asked for was some video, and it was a huge pain in the ass, and I thought he was nuts, but we did it anyway. It appears he was right though...it's like people just responde much more positively and powerfully when they SEE Jaimee singing...it's like you forget she's a kid unless you see the braces, lol. Anyway man, I hate it when my brother's right, so screw you...BUT THANKS FOR WATCHING AND COMMENTING!!!

slip - I've always been proud of her; my own personal goal with this gig is to stay as involved as I possibly can in her life through the weird years, so yeah, it's been very cool. I appreciate your post a lot.

Wow Chris! Your daughter can really sing! But who's that old fart I keep hearing singing those strange notes in the background? ;) Seriously though, it sounds really good, especially for live off the board. I'm gonna have to come up that way one of these days and check out one of your gigs! Let me know if you need some thunderous bass, or maybe some screaming electric! :p

Slightly off the topic of the live stuff, I was listening to the Evanesence cover and was wondering what you used for the strings and synth...it sounds pretty good!

don't know if Chris needs/wants a shameless plug for his music but i gotta say, go check out his site again for some new (well new to me at least) tunes he has up. The first songs he had were very well done, and these new ones are awsome as well. The studio version of green eyes is very well done. nice job chris.
