Some interesting questions about creativity!

I'm curious about creativity.. Do you think creativity is something we're born with or something we discover along the way? What's something you've always wanted to create but never had the courage to start?

I’ve heard that everyone is born with some level of creative ability, but the education system and other factors cause this creative potential to rapidly fade away. And maaaybe, as a result, some people begin to doubt their own capabilities when it comes to creating something.

I think we all inherently capable of creativity. But only some of us really pursue it.

My response to the second part is to learn the cello. I want to start in 2027, that is one unaccomplished goal I have. I had always put it off, but am seriously considering it next year, when funds might allow.

I don't think everyone has creativity, in the same way not everyone can dance. I rather like the natural distinction between art and craft, or creative and technical. Under certain circumstances I can be creative, but naturally, I'm technical. One comes easily, the other I have to work at.

I guess the way I see it is, someone may not be musically creative for example. But they can imagine, plan, and build the hell out of a shed or a garden. Different kind of creativity.

I would say it is all one. Leonardo Da Vinci was a great engineer, and a great artist.

At 17 I had a quick go on someone else's cello, and decided 'I gotta get one of these'.
I was over 40 when I actually bought one.
Recently I dug it out again, to see what I can do with it, without actually learning to play properly.

I'd say I'm creative, and my brother is not. He's more into snobbery.
I always thought I would make a living by creating things, which is roughly what happened.
I never expected I'd be designing electronics and software, though.

First, that's really cool you do electronics and software. I had a bit of a rough time in programming. Not my forte. I tried a cello in a music store and surprisingly I sounded like I had been playing for 2 weeks lol. But it was enough to put a mental bookmark in my brain.

Perhaps, but his helicopter aint ever gonna fly. I would not jump out an air-o-plane with his parachute either. Wait, no, that Da vinci guy had a terrible handle on physics. His shit don't work.

Everyone can dance
Everyone can sing
Just believe in yourself, and never quit. You'll turn out okay.

Yeah, also if parents let you pursue art, then you will be creative. It depends on sooo many things!

haaha! Designing electronics and software sounds creative enough, Now I think that actually we put creativity in many things around us...
