In a R&B track(Can be any R&B track) how do they acchieve their full chorus, also their harmony... the professional sound. When i attempt the "good chorus" it sounds cheap? What are some simple tips for a home studio based artist?

In pointform how would you replicate a r&b feel to a song? :)

Doubling

For a chorused effect, try singing the same part a few times -

Pan the main VOX center and mainly clean
Pan the other 2 left and right & add reverb & effects

stacking is the key! in the pro studios they stack the living hell out of the hooks. they stack around 10 to 12 takes on eachother(of differnet harmonies and notes), they compress it alittle bit cut 2 or 3 dbs at 500khz just to take out the low mid boomy parts. and pan things around.

It is amazing hearing some of these songs. But my question is how can you have 10 tracks of perfectly in time vocals? I mean it just seems physically impossible to start and stop at the exact start and stop time. Do they just use pieces or do they really just have that good of timing?

I know the few times I have tried it I get very close but it definitely sounds like 10 seperate vocals. On these songs it truly does sound like one or maybe 2 vocals. So what gives?
