I guess that explains why the 1006 sounds so nice on accoustic guitars. I also noticed that the 1006 is not-so-great on female vocals. I get better results with a 58'.

Speaking of Marshall mics, I own both the V67 and the V93 (2003 by another name). While I like both mics and use both, Harvey's description is spot on. If I were to buy another, I'd go with another V93 over the V67 because:
1. I like the sound better as a general purpose mic--vocals, percussion, acoustic guitar, etc. Its more versatile. The V67 is great on SOME voices and it is pretty nice as a voiceover mic too, but the V93 can handle more assignments.
2. The V93 has the bass roll off and 10db pad options which the V67 does not have.
3. For the extra money, you get a shockmount.
Now Chessrock has me intrigued by the CAD mic! It just never ends, does it?

For about $200, the Rode NT1 is stunning, especially when run through a good preamp.
