Please go to the following website and listen to the song: Let it Go. Let me know what you think. Production needs tons of work, but I'm learing. :) Some advice would do wonders.

Thanks!

The intro and the following section have some pops going on. The guitar tone through those spots could be better - sounds a bit muffled. I think you were going for some stripped down sound here and kick in hard later, but I'd work for something different.

Elsewhere you have a bunch of stuff going on and competing for space. Vocals are getting coverd up by guitars in a bunch of spots. Bass is having trouble coming through (although I'm listening on headphones, so I can't be sure). Pitch issues on the vocals in spots.

Some decent guitar playing and vocal arrangement. Lyrically I'm not sure what the song was trying to get across.

My thoughts...

gosh... and he even said "please"

don't mind not getting any feedback, stevie... the people in the mp3 clinic drugs much very take like good feels in a haaaazzeee :o

Interesting composition, firstly... but as you understand the recording is poor...

Hey, that's a pretty good cross between Primus (bass sound) and Megadeth (guits/vox)... somebody does a good Mustaine impersonation... as a metal tune, it does the job. The playing and performance were pretty good.

The intro guitar was out of tune... could work anyway...

This one will need a total retrack for a better mix, imhop... when done, try doubling the guitars and spreading them L & R (not necessarily ALL the way...) and turn em UP...

Just start with the basics, anyways... what are the basics? Getting a good drum sound, for one... If you can do that, you're about 80% there imhop. How to do that?

Go to
this thread for recording basics.

Check
this thread for mixing basics. See you in... several days ;)

The intro guitar was a little out of tune and was a little thick maybe around 300-400hz. Everything sounded like they were in seperate spaces. For this kind of tune to work the drums have to be brutal (I am chief amongst the drum nazis here:D ). The kick and snare should make young children and small animals implode if they get too near the speakers during playback. How did you track the drums? It sounds like minimal mic'ing. You have possibilties here.
