Audio Bum
I had a break from the 'making our album' march of death to do a quickie with a blues band over the weekend. We setup fast and tracked it live. The drums were down in the lower level with everyone else up top.

I mixed this on my home computer speakers so hopefully I don't embarrass myself with this mix, lol.

Let me know what you think. I went for a hi-fi but old school type of sound.

Near as I can tell the song is called "Gahlene"

Sounds pretty good...very good mix of everything. I hear all the istruments well, and nothing seems to be fighting for space. Good clean mix. Fun tune. Snare seems a bit hidden, but that is the only thing I had to struggle a bit to hear. Nice guitar sounds.

The performance and mix sound really good. Everything is well defined. I like the guitar tones. Very traditional '70's blues-rock sound...I was a bit thrown at first by the hard panned lead guitars (I am so used to folks centering a guitar solo), but I guess that is kind of old school in itself. I like the loose feel that is perhaps due to the fact that it was tracked live. Cool.

Thanks for listening. Yeah, that snare was bugging me too. Damn, wimpy drummers.

Good stuff. That song style is a nice change of pace for me - thanks for sharing!
