Maybe you guys can troubleshoot this...
Recording program, very solid, hassle free for several years.
In the middle of some work, it starts locking up right after I stop record. The only time it does is when I stop recording.
It will lock up anywhere from 20 seconds to about 2 minutes, occasionally flashing/flickering, and sometimes the (not responding) thing will pop up at the top on the blue bar for a few seconds. It seems to be having trouble drawing the waveforms.
My first step, took off 20 gigs of material, defragged... no help.
2nd step, uninstalled, re-installed, installed updates, still doing it.
Checked my processes: all is good and average, about 20% on the program until I stop recording, at which time it slams it at 99% for an extended period of time, even for 1 second of single track (mono) audio. During this time I cant do anything at all.
My next step is to uninstall and re-install the soundcard drivers. If that doest work, I'm thinking I have some a stick of DDR going bad and I may swap them around to see if that remedies it.
I can remember nothing I changed to cause this to happen.
Any thoughts?
Paul
