Solid Mixer round $5,000
Er, that doesn't make sense. When speccing a mixer the number of input channels is the first thing to think about. Taken to silly extremes, a 2 input Audio Interface is a two channel mixer with with A to D.
Okay, just from the point of view of suggesting something you haven't thought of, a Yamaha 01V96VCM digital mixer with Audinate Dante expansion card. Fully professional kit that will last forever.
I'll leave it to Moresound to suggest the Behringer x32 (but that should be on your shortlist too).
Heck shoot for 16 channels & up lol
The 01V96 has 16 primary channels but, with the use of layers, can take up to 40 inputs (with appropriate expansion cards). The Audinate Dante gives you 16 channels from the mixer to you computer and another 16 back from computer to mixer. You could, for example,do direct outs of the 16 inputs on layer 1 to the computer and bring 16 channels of your DAW back into the mixer on layer 2.
Look, I have no idea if the above is in any way suitable for your needs. Before you talk about laying out five grand for a mixer, you really need to have a think about how you want to use it and even why you need it.
