I have recently purchased a Dell 8200 with plenty of memory. I have a Santa Cruz sound card. My problem is that I have Windows XP. I've been told to download protools free to get me going. It's not compatible with XP. Any advice on software that is windows XP compatible?

i use N-Track, but im still using Windoze 98.....it is one of the lowest price/fullest featured multitrackers ou there..........

yeah , skip protools free, there is a special edition of COMPUTER MUSIC still on the shelves with three free sequencers: something from Cakewalk, Steinberg and E-Magic.
