software synths stereo?

are software synths such as hypersonic and sampletank all stereo sounds? and if they are does it make sense to do the little delay trick to get a more stereo effect or will that just make it sound worse if the signal is already stereo?

I really hate the delay trick to make things sound stereo. In the end they just sound like ass.

Most software synths have stereo outputs. However, they usually sound "mono" and the "stereoness" comes from FX such as reverb, delay, chorus, etc. There are some software synths/samplers that are true stereo in that you can pan the output of different oscillators/filters, whatever left and right. Albino comes to mind in that regard. So does Kontakt where you can have different Kontakt instruments panned differently before being sent to the outputs.
