Software Synth for MAC?

Can anyone suggest a good software synth for the MAC within a
free-$100 price range...

I can't afford Propellerhead Reason right now otherwise I would buy that....

Is there a Fruity Loops equivalent? any help is appreciated.

It's within your price range and you can load VST/VSTi plugins. There are loads of free VSTi synths around that you can use with it.
