Hello:

What's a good software program for eliminating noise and hiss when recording to PC?

Also, give me a list of recommended home recording websites...!!

Thanks....

Cheers :-)

Waves Ltd. has their Restoration Package that gets rid of hum, hiss, crackle, etc. I read some reviews on it today at Barnes and Noble, and it's definitely something to look into. It's pretty pricey, but what isnt now a days.

waves and cool edit aren't half bad, nor are dart or sonar, and i should mention pristine sound-i liked its setup for noise production, though it's only an ok editor.

I don't know if SONAR has noise reduction (don't have one, I use CWPA 9.03 anyway). But I agree that you should keep out of noises from the scratch. Editing latter somehow will alter the sound, audible or not.
