Software Crossover?

Does anyone know of a DirectX or VST plugin that works as a crossover? I want to send seperate highs, mids and lows out of a multi channel sound card.

I didn't see one there, but it's an interesting site.

I don't know what software you use, but I think something very close could be achieved using Cubase and some Wave's EQ plug-in's. Depends how flexible your software and hardware is for routing signals but I think it could be done.

Might involve submixing in order to reroute, but maybe not.

I just got Cubase VST/32, which I’m learning to use. I’m considering either a Layla 24 or a Delta 1010. Since both cards support DirectX my thought was that I could use a VST plugin with Cubase or a DirectX plugin with the sound card software.

The Waves Q10 seems promising, but it looks like I would need to have 4 of them running at the same time for a 3-way crossover, if that’s even possible. What I really want is a software version of this little beauty http://www.whiteinstruments.com/sp-pm222426.htm. Multiple filter types, delay, shelving, etc..... everything you could want to integrate a multiway sound system. The problem is that it only has analog inputs, not to mention it’s quite pricey.
 
I'm really more into the reproduction side of things. I want to use my DAW for live performances - a computer DJ/electronic composer sort of thing. And, I'm going to build the most amaizing pro loudspeakers ever (at least on paper) to push it through.

In a past life I designed speakers for a living. Now I just do it for friends and fun. These digital crossovers like the White ParaMedic or the Yamaha D2040 are wonderful tools for making absolutly state of the art loudspeakers. A software based crossover and a multi output sound card like the Layla 24 would be outstanding. Not only should it be cheaper, but I think better, since you just go D/A rather than the D/A/D/A required by these stand alone units. They currently have no digital inputs (????!)
