Software? CD Sound?

I'm talking strictly to get CD quality sound, which will sound the best: Cubase, Logic, or Sonar. Cubase is just so easy that i want to use it, but not if I'm sacrificing anything that i would have with Logic. THanks

CD quality is nothing to get excited about, as far as software, this only becomes an issue when you actually have to burn a cd ...but it's a total non-issue if you're mastering to vinyl.

The sound quality of the three programs you listed will all be excellent if not identical.What will determine how good it is will be determined on the quality of the front end of the work station such as microphones / pre-amps/audio card.
The main consideration in choosing the software is how well you can work within it as well as the type of recording you will be doing.
Sonor is a great program if you are doing a lot of midi work,does multi track audio,and it also has some new loop based tools like Acid that really is great, but if you are only doing audio only type recording you may want a program that is more centered around that.(Samplitude comes to mind)
Other things to consider is the plug ins and effects you will be using. Cubase has had a great following because of the vst effects and softsynths they support. Sonors native effects are ok but nothing to scream about.I have never used Logic but a local studio I know uses it extensively and the albums they turn out are great.
If you like Cubase I say use it! You may want to download a few demos of other the other programs though and try them out.(just to make life miserable for you making a choice!)
