Is there a software program that will allow me to configure the amount of seconds between tracks when recording a CD? Right now I can adjust the time from 2 sec. to 4 sec for example but the time I choose will be the amount of seconds between every track. What I want to be able to do is put a 1 sec. space between tracks 1 and 2 and then a 3 sec. space between tracks 2 and 3, then maybe a 1/2 sec between tracks 3 and 4. Anybody know of anything that will let me do this?

Adaptec Toast can do it. It's a fairly inexpensive option. Also, Emagic's WaveBurner Pro can give you awesome control over your tracks, but has limited CD writer compatability.

Thanks....I checked it out and both programs seem to be for Mac. I'm using a PC. I went to Adaptec's web site but they don't give (or I can't find) enough info to tell me if they have a program equivalent to the Toast program you suggested.Is it the "crossfading" feature that I'm looking for?

You can do this using standard track spacing times (zero or ~3 seconds are typical) by adjusting the actual length of each track in a .wav editor. Crossfading is somewhat related but has to do with fading one track out while the next track is fading in. You just want control over the gap placed between tracks when listening to the CD straight thru on a regular CD player, right?

So if I understand you correctly, I can just add the extra 1 second,3 second or whatever I want at the end of each wav. file? Makes sense. Thanks!
