soft-synths

i'm seeking any knowledge of soft-synths. I've had no experience w/outboard synths. And was wondering if the parameters are the same(i.e OSC, filter, ect...).
So, if anyone has experience w/these parameters or know of any tutorial sites please post or e-mail at ccross@cinci.rr.com

What paremeters they have is TOTALLY dependent on the synth. This is true for any synth, soft or hard.

Some softsynths, like ReBirth, emulate specific existing hardware. Others are completely mosular stuff where you can do whatever you feel like....
