Soft Synth Soundbanks

My biggest problem with MIDI since I began recording was that it sounded very artificial to me. I think it just may be that I never really heard a "good" soundbank of MIDI samples. So my question is: what are some highly recommended MIDI soft synth plug-ins I could consider that are reasonably priced? (Note: I'm using Music Creator) Thanks!
 
Hey,
I'd go to KVR Audio's site (kvraudio.com) and do a search for free DX instruments for starters. My next recommendation would be get a DX-VST wrapper (directiXer is my favorite) and then start downloading VST instruments. Trust me, its definately worth the $50.
