THE FIRST STEP on the way to TRUE Professional world, if you at the same time are a TRUE ANALOG head
...hmmmm, this leads me to think then, that in a very real sense one can not step into PRO-world without losing Analog Purity or , say: Analog Virginity... ?The Ghost of FM said:In a very real sense, this is actually digital's earliest offerings. It was a richer history with not only data being represented in ones and zeros but all the other wonderful digits!
We've lost so much along the way it would seem.
Cheers!
Modern hard disks have magnetic properties optimised for digital signals. It probably wouldn't sound very nice.FALKEN said:you really want to boggle the mind??
electromagnetic tape and hard drives work upon the same mechanism. I'm surprised nobody has figured out how to store analog information on a hard drive yet.

NOW! This is pretty tough question... I gotta think about this one, not to say that I'll be able to come out with the answer...Muckelroy said:So if analog cash registers are digital, and you use them to purchase cheese, is cheese analog?

I did mean to play with that idea though.. I was going to try and build a binson-style disk echoplexor. Went for cassette tape in the end, though (and then ditched it for a Copicat).
