So this kid brings in a Crate...

...and asks me if I want to buy it. It's your typical 2x12 gfx or whatever the fuck it's called. I had him plug me in, strumed a few chords and asked him how much. He says "what do you got?". I reply "hundred bucks?" and he says "sold!". Now keep in mind I hadn't even really looked at the amp, I just figured it was the same old crate every kid tries to drag in here and record. After the fact he tells me his uncle just put two brand new speakers in it. I then proceed to spin it around and staring me in the face are two beautiful brand new celestion vintage 30's. :eek: :D

That's no lie, I'm cursed with a Bose system in my suv and judging a mix by what that system tells me is a joke. And NO the amp wasn't stolen, this is a really good kid(no drinking no drugs) and he's had this amp since he was in his first band when he was 15. He even spray painted his old bands name on the grill, probably why he had to get new speakers. The v30's are going into new cabs tonight, just in time for the next round of talent.

I meant a real Kenwood, oops. I haven't bought a car stereo since 1991. I just assumed bose was o.k.

oh bullshit, i've been rocking kenwood since 2004 and my truck sounds amazing TYVM.
 
Just pull the Crate logo off the amp and you'll be all set!
