I am hearing a decent mix in general, however, it sounds as though you used a mastering preset that adds reverb and/or a widening effect. It seems to have made the mix sound distant from the listener in some way.

Apparently your compression has exaggerated the upper-mids because the crash cymbals and dual acoustic guitars are really in my face.

I am detecting a "one note bass" problem here and there, but it might be the shitty speakers I am listening on. (I am not in my studio right now.)

It's a good tune. You have it close. I could only find minor things to pick on.

on 'mastering', i never use presets.

as it is, there is no widening effect at all...... only mostly L-R-C mixing.

the multiband i use (waves LinMb) did bring up some high mids....
but the acoustics were mixed hot in spaces, and it could very well be your monitors you are listening on.

i'll double check the high mid thing, and give it a listen if you can, on some proper speakers.
