Don't you hate it when you put in three snakes and you never got around to labeling them, and then you go to hook something up and you grab the wrong snake tail, and you sit there for an hour running back and forth to the tracking rooms (mytracking rooms are downstairs) and to the control room (yup control room is upstairs) trying to figure what you did wrong or why the software you are running is not running correctly only to figure out later that you had the wrong snake tail the whole time!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o  :o :o :o :o

OOoooopps!!! Three little strips of tape+one marker and my frusrtation would never have happened. Lesson learned. :o :o :o :o :o :o

Get a piece of tin-foil and cover one of the plugs (1/4" or male xlr push it in the pins, female xlr use a short piece of wire plugged into the holes.).
Then go to the other end and look for a shorted jack w/ a multimeter.
