Seems to be a pretty good price. I'd buy it myself if it were located in canada.
The only problem I can see with it is that the connectors are switchcraft rather than neutriks. And possible that reel looks a little dinky.

Yeah - currently its a good deal, if it fits your needs. If you are doing live sound, etc. I would actually prefer it to have Switchcraft as they seem to be sturdier. In any case - Im happy with either Switchcraft or Neutrik.

Switchcraft break alot easier that neutrik. Working in live audio I've seen alot of broken switchcraft xlrs and very few neutriks and usually the broken neutriks are still working fine. The problem with the switchcrafts is the strain releife or the lack there of. The first time someone hooks up or pulls on the cable the cable is pretty much pulled right out of the connector or pulled out with the strain relife.
The only broken neutriks I have seen were very old and the plastic had cracked where it screws down on the strain releife.

It is not odd to find prices that are lower or equal to what it would cost to make snakes. Once you factor in your time, the snake cable and then the connectors (which is where the majority of loot goes) - it becomes pricey. Figure roughly .35/ft for Canare cable [.68 or so for Mogami], $2 per connector (and also remember if you dont have solder, iron, stand, wire cutters, wire strippers, etc. you have to think about buying those).
The problem with Neutriks normal connectors are that they contain plastic which isnt as strong as steel/metal. That said - if its going to be for studio use, either Switchcraft of Neutrik are fine. If you are making the cables yourself - Id go with the latter.
