smpte help needed

is there any way to make vegas or any app that you know of genrate smpte as audio ?
I need a few minutes of 25 FPS smpte to sunc something up. Or is there a place on the web I can download 5 mintues of it ?

As far as I know any software platform only generates SMPTE messages as data. You need a hardware SMPTE box to convert the data to the audio signal used to stripe tape and vice-versa. Most high-end multiport MIDI interfaces include this feature.
